Dear TRNSYS users, The French wall library distributed with Trnsys 15 includes several walls for which the layers are in reverse order. Consequently, all TRNSYS users who are currently using this library are invited to replace their library with the attached version. The two files (Prgwall.lib and Prgwlay.lib) should be copied to \Trnsys15\Prebid\Lib\French. The corrected version of the French library will be included in the next Trnsys update. We remind you that the layers have to be given from the "FRONT" side to the "BACK" side, which means from INSIDE to OUTSIDE for external walls. For example, the correct declaration for a wall including a plaster layer inside, mansonry blocks, an air gap and then a face brick layer outside, would be: WALL OUTSIDE LAYERS = PLASTER MANSONRY AIR BRICK THICKNESS = 0.01 0.12 0.00 0.08 ABS-FRONT = 0.80 : ABS-BACK = 0.80 HFRONT = 11.00 : HBACK = 64.00 The "restaurant" example included in the distribution and described in the main TRNSYS manual includes some walls that can be confusing regarding the order in which layers have to be declared, so please review your building input files if you used the French wall library or the "restaurant" example as a template.
