Re: pump+turbine

Dear Everybody;
Dear Jeff;
I read your comments about new hydronic library. Actually, I am currently
working on modeling photovoltaic water pumping system. The pump I am using
now is a centrifugal one. I need to couple this pump with a three phase
Induction motor and couple both to the Photovoltaic generator via an mpp
inverter. There is a type for centrifugal pump available on the trnsys site
(done by Eckstein). I am currently trying to develope this type to couple it
with the motor. I did not find any type available for the motor. For that, I
have considered inputs to the pump as power from the motor and speed instead
of torque and speed. I found that more practical than considering torque as
input. This is because manufacturers can easily supply power and efficiency
curves of the motor at variable load while it is not common to find out
mathematical parameters for the motor

Meanwhile, I would highly appreciate to receive from you what you have
achieved and developed so far and I will provide you with the final modeling
when it is ready. Our mutual cooperation will eventually help in pushing
Trnsys a head

Moreover, I would highly appreciate any comments from any body on the list,
please
