Sharath,
We recently ran into the same issue and modified Type185, adding
an additional parameter for Vfloat. Type185 calculates the battery
terminal voltage based on the charging current. In the modified version,
if it notices that the battery current results in a terminal voltage
greater than Vfloat, it then calculates the amount of charging current
that would have resulted in a terminal voltage of Vfloat and reports it
as an output. This output can then be used to limit the charging current
to the battery. You may be able to add this algorithm externally and
create a controller that watches battery terminal voltage and modifies
the charging current to meet the battery terminal voltage. We did not add
the enhancements for an absorption mode.
Kind regards,
David

Hi,
I am Sharath working on Renewable Energy ICE
System. In this I am supplying charge form PV and ICE to Battery(TYPE
185) to charge it. After Battery reaches to certain voltage I want to
charge it by keeping its voltage constant. Is there any parameter or
method which guides the battery to work in Float mode or Absorption mode?
Can I use TYPE 47 to achieve desired conditions?
Thank you,
