RE: TRNSYS Matlab link (Type 155)

Dear Mr. Choong,

A few weeks ago I downloaded the type 155 component as well and I had no
problems with the use of it. At our institute we have Compaq Visual Fortran
version 6.6. In my case it was important to upgrade the compiler to version
6.6 B. The upgrade can be downloaded for free from:

http://h18009.www1.hp.com/fortran/

When I followed the instructions in the manual I had no problems with adding
the required files to TRNSYS. I could run the example and I also made a
simulation by myself and also this one works fine. I do not know if the
TRNSYS version is important. I work with TRNSYS 3.070, dated 4/11/03.

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Maurice Jong,

Subject: TRNSYS Matlab link (Type 155)

Hi all,

Thank you for you all reply earlier.

I am trying to do the TRNSYS Matlab link to design a
controller to control the chilled water system in
TRNSYS. I have downloaded the type 155 component and
read through the manual. However the manual
instructions are unclear and it need to modify some
setting in my computer. Can anyone help me on this
please?

Second question is what component can receive control
signal that produce variable flow rate in the cooling
coil.

Thank you in advance.

C H Choong
