Dear Trnsys users,
I read in ther TRNSYS reference manual that
- "External shading devices reduce the incoming solar radiation on
the glazing area of the external window by a factor given in the building
description. A thermal resistance that reduces the heat losses of the
glazing to the ambient, if the external shading is active, may be
specified."
How is it possible to introduce that thermal resistance ? I don't
see any possibility in Prebid. Should I use another Type for such a
shading device ?
Again, for internal shading devices :
- "An internal shading device is specified giving the reduction of
transmitted solar radiation, a reflection coefficient for solar radiation
for both faces of the shading device and a parameter defining the degree
of additional convection to the air node of the zone. The model takes
into account multiple reflections between the internal shading device and
the window panes, and an additional convection due to a chimney effect of
warm air heated by the absorption of solar radiation on the shading
device."
Is it correct ? How is it possible to introduce those reflection
coefficients for solar radiation for both faces of the shading device and
the parameter defining the degree of additional convection to the air
node of the zone ?
