Henk,
If you are using IISiBat to create your input file then the solution is
simple. In TRNSYS 15, you must define an equation before you use it.
IISiBat writes components and equations in the deck file in the order in
which you added them to your project. So if you add the equations first,
they will appear before the components. If you add your components first
and your equations later, then you need to change the order in which
IISiBat writes the input file. Click on the Component Control cards tool
(icon of a page with the corner folded over in the toolbar at the left hand
side of the screen) The third tab in the window that pops up allows you to
change the component order. Find your equations in the list, click and hold
on them, and slide them up so that they come before the components that use
their result. Click on OK and your errors should go away. If not, please
let me know and I will be happy to take a look at your input file and see
if there is a subtler problem.
Kind regards,
David

Hello Trnsys users,
When inserting an additional equation into a project I get errors after
connecting to a component:
***** ERROR ***** TRNSYS ERROR # 98 UNRECOGNIZED VARIABLE NAME OR
BAD DATA CARD Pctl ***** ERROR ***** TRNSYS ERROR # 77 ILLEGAL
INPUT SPECIFICATION FOUND *** INITIAL INPUT VALUES ***** ERROR
***** TRNSYS ERROR # 48 UNRECOGNIZED CONTROL CARD 20.0 5000 0.5
When creating a new project and first defining two equations and
connecting them to components I do not get an error.
Does this mean that I FIRST have to create ALL equations before adding
components? I hope there is a simple solution!
Thanks,
Henk Witte
