Re: [TRNSYS-users] query

Dear Prof. Nayak,
The Type56 window model (especially in TRNSYS 16) is set up to allow for scheduled additional R values of shading and insulating devices such as curtains. To access these, you can look under the "optional properties of shading devices" in either the Prebid or TRNBuild Window Typemanger.
Kind regards,
David

Dear TRNSYS user,

I have a query. In buildings, we usually cover windows by curtain or
wooden shutters or venetian blinds. This means that the solar radiation is
blocked, also at the same time the U-value becomes variable.

I am keen to know how the variable U-value thing is taken into account in
TRNSYS. I would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.
