Type 69 --- TOWEROO =================== SIMULTATION OF A COOLING TOWER IN ON-OFF REGIME Routine TOWEROO deals with the part load peration of a cooling tower equipped with a one speed fan. Its purpose is to calculate the time period during which the cooling tower must operate in full load (ON regime) in order to reach a given set point temperature, i.e. a mean exhaust water temperature. It is assumed that the part load operation can be represented by a simple linear combination of two steady-state regimes. Cyclic losses are not accounted for. The "Off" regime may correspond to two different cases : 1) Fan OFF and water pump ON (free convection regime): in this case a non-zero value is given to the AUoff parameter; 2) Both fan and water pump off; this case is simply represented by imposing AUoff=0 Note: the time period mentioned above can be used in order to define the fan and pump electricity consumptions. Input, Output and Parameter descriptions are in the *.for file. For More details, see the HVAC1KIT manual.
