Fixed Flow Resistance by Michael J. Brandemuehl Revised for TRNSYS by N.Blair and R.Schwarz This model was adapted strictly for use with the TRNSYS Program by the Solar Energy Laboratory. This algorithm determines the pressure drop throug a fixed flow resistance, such as a pipe, coil, or other flow fixture, given a flow resistance parameter. The algorithm nominally calculates outlet pressure from the inlet pressure and flow rate. However, it may be employed to calculate inlet pressure from outlet pressure and flow by using a negative value for the flow and substituting the leaving pressure as the subroutine input pressure. The resulting subroutine output pressure will be the pressure entering the valve. Developed at: University of Colorado at Boulder for the ASHRAE May 25, 1992
