DOE 2.1 DX Coil Performance Calculations By M. Brandemuehl Revised for TRNSYS by N. Blair and R. Schwarz This model was adapted strictly for use with the TRNSYS Program by the Solar Energy Laboratory. This subroutine calculates the performance of a DX cooling coil using the default correlations of the DOE 2.1 building system simulation program. The routine determines the total capacity, sensible heat ratio and coefficient of performance for a coil given the rated performance, entering air temperature and humidity ratio, outdoor temperature and the ratio of evaporator airflow rate to rated airflow. The correlations do not account for indoor fan energy effects. Sample values (generated by TRNSYS Debug) are included in the source code.
