HYDROGEMS License Agreement

HYDROGEMS Version 1.0 License Agreement

June 2002

I. General

a. The full HYDROGEMS (Hydrogen Energy Models) library developed by Institute for Energy Technology (IFE, Norway) consists of two parts:
1) Subroutines (TYPEs) for TRNSYS 15 with IISiBat
2) External functions (FDLs) for Engineering Equations Solver (EES).
This licence agreement is only valid for Part 1.

b. HYDROGEMS is free of charge for registered TRNSYS 15 users.

c. Users of HYDROGEMS must agree to register their contact details in a data base located at IFE. Users should go to www.hydrogems.no to register if this was not done prior to downloading.

d. HYDROGEMS is designed for TRNSYS; hence the TRNSYS license agreement applies also for HYDROGEMS. The models included in the library can be adapted for other simulation software. If you wish to do so, please contact the HYDROGEMS developers (www.hydrogems.no).

e. Distribution of the HYDROGEMS source code is prohibited.

f. Only limited technical support will be given on the use of HYDROGEMS.

g. Users are welcome to improve and alter the HYDROGEMS TYPEs as they see fit, but IFE is not obligated to provide technical support for any user written components.

h. Users writing TRNSED programs based on HYDROGEMS may use them internally as they see fit. Users wishing to distribute TRNSED packages based on HYDROGEMS externally must send a copy of the application to the HYDROGEMS developers and follow the rules for applications using TRNSYS as described below:

i. The same conditions as Part II of the TRNSYS 15 license agreement applies. In addition the following applies:

ii. No HYDROGEMS source code may be distributed.

iii. The words "TRNSYS with HYDROGEMS used for simulation calculation" must be displayed in the "splash screen" and also displayed in the manual.

iv. The program designer would provide all technical support to the users for this limited TRNSYS HYDROGEMS package. As a TRNSYS owner, the program designer is still able to contact their TRNSYS distributor for assistance, but the support on HYDROGEMS will be limited.

II. Disclaimer:

The HYDROGEMS source code has been developed by Institute for Energy Technology (IFE, Norway) and has mainly been sponsored by the Norwegian Research Council (NFR). Neither, IFE, NFR, nor any of their employees, nor any of their contractors, subcontractors, or employees, makes any warranty, expressed or implied, or assumes any liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product or process disclosed, or represents that its use would not infringe privately owned rights.
