Employing solar energy for house heating is investigated in this paper for a typical house in the West Bank. Collector area is optimized based on minimum annual heating cost. TRNSYS program was used for solar house simulation. For a typical house heating load in the West Bank a flat plate collector area of 28.8 m2 contributes to an annual solar fraction of 0.55 with a 14% saving of the conventional annual heating cost.
