TRNSYS 15 User Resources

Development and bug fixing of TRNSYS 15 stopped in early 2004. Because there are still a significant number of people using TRNSYS 15, this page is maintained to give TRNSYS 15 users access to the last TRNSYS 15 updates and software patches.

Latest TRNSYS release

A valid user name and password are required to gain access to the files listed below.  The password has been updated on June 18 2007, please contact your TRNSYS distributor to receive it. The distributor will ask you to prove that you are a registered TRNSYS user.

Latest update: TRNSYS 15.3.00

The files here below include the full TRNSYS install package, except the user.id file. The user.id file must be located in the \Trnsys15 folder in order to run TRNSYS. It should be obtained from your original installation disks or CD-ROM. If you cannot find this file, please contact your TRNSYS distributor before downloading the latest version. 

Where is the Presim update?
The Solar Energy Research Center (SERC) at Dalarna University has discontinued Presim. TRNSYS with Presim users will still receive TRNSYS updates and are invited to contact their TRNSYS distributor to obtain the download instructions. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Individual patches (advanced users only!)

The files here below include some enhancements or fixes to the TRNSYS package that are not part of an official release yet. They are produced in response to a reported problem. You should only download these files if you experience those problems or if you need an enhancement immediately. Only some files are included in these updates. You should only install these files if you know what you are doing!

Installation instructions
All patches are distributed as self extracting executable programs.  Run the .exe and select your TRNSYS 15 installation directory to unzip the files.
The patches do NOT include Trnlib.dll, you should rebuild the DLL to use the new versions of Types and Kernal routines.

Warning
The patches will replace existing files. Please backup your personal files if you modified some parts of your TRNSYS installation.
