Re: Error in simulation

Dear Anil,

please have a look to http://www.chi.on.ca/swmmqa457.html

or please have a look to GOOGLE web search machine (http://www.google.de)
with search string "forrtl: error (63): output conversion error"

The 'optical' error message coming from the fortran runtime library:
The output field is too wide for the specified field format and the
number cannot be written with the correct precision

is obviously only an indication for a problem which insists in other reasons.
The model which is build according to the input file of type56, i think so,
will run in a mathematical instable state.
This perhaps is due to the fact, that the model should investigate the
performance of the window not only as an temperature point, but
also as a mass point - are there any thermo-physical values given
for the pane, instead of an overall heat resistance?? An assumption
like this would lead -according to the immediately changes of the
pane temperature to totally wrong temperature values (instability)
and you would get after a short simulation time this optical error
message. You should search in this direction. Mathematical spoken
you try to find a solution for a 'stiff' problem, this is when objects
are treated with very different time constants.
Not really knowing this TYPE56, I think ITPANE 31 means for this
timestep 31 iterations for the pane's temperature calculation, and ITCALC 1
would mean one iteration for the complete model (all other interesting
objects of this simulation run have been converging).

Kind regards
