Juan,
I am optimizing 7 variables of a thermosyphon solar system and during
some iteration I get a run time error as shown in the figure attached.
It appears as though a square root of a negative number is trying to be
calculated. The input values that are being optimized are lower and
upper bound, so that irrational values are not simulated. I haven’t
recompiled trnlib.dll. The only thing I did was install the
trnsys_15_3_00_p01.exe patch. I would like to know if this occurrence is
inevitable or if there is anything I can do to avoid it.
I assume that you are only getting that error for some configuration of
the parameters. You could use a TRACE command in that configuration to
find out if any outputs are getting strange values.
If you have a compiler, you could also try to find out where the math
error occurs.
If you cannot solve the problem and if you are sure it does not come
from unacceptable parameters, you can send your project to your
distributor for additional support.
Kind regards,
Michaël Kummert
