Mathematical description of the TYPE30 (collector array shading)

Dear TRNSYS users:

We are dealing with the TYPE 30 in mode 1 (flat plate collector array shading). We are interested in the mathematical background of the type, and we found the fortran code very difficult to read. The bibliographical references don´t appear in the TRNSYS manual. Is it possible to get a paper explaining clearly the internal operation of the TYPE 30?
