If I use type19 single zone with 5 exterior surfaces, the walls are of
type “user defined layers”. In this case, have I to couple my walls with
similar walls of type “standard ASHRAE” . If the answer is yes, where
and how I can define my wall’s structure it is something special we
can’t find it in the ASHRAE table.
You have to use a program called "PREP", which is included with TRNSYS.
Please refer to Chapter 5 in the TRNSYS manual for more information
about PREP.
There may be good reasons to use Type19, but have you considered using
Type56 for your project? Even if you only have one zone, Type 56 will be
much easier to use (especially to define your own walls) thanks to the
PREBID visual interface.
