AW: TYPE 160 floor heating and hypocaust

Dear Markus & Tobias,

one approach might be that you link TYPE160 to a boundary wall as usual and described in the manual of TYPE160.
Then in addition to the boundary wall add your external wall to this zone. Give both walls direct contact via alpha_to_zone = e.g. 999. I recommend to divide the walls in smaller pieces (at least 3 walls of similar size per zone) to meet the requirements of the star node calculation model.
I havn't tested this approach - so check for reasonability.

best regards,

Matthias Rudolph

Betreff: TYPE 160 floor heating and hypocaust

Hallo TRNSYS users,

is it possible to link TYPE 160 (floor heating and hypocaust) as an
external wall to the building (TYPE 56)? What should be considered
regarding the short and long wave radiation?
In the manual you can only find a description how to connect TYPE 160 as
a boundary wall.

With kind regards.

Markus Treiber,
Tobias Burkard
