Re: run alltrn32.bat (version 14.2)

<Werner : I remember at one point, a long time ago, the param.inc file was not included in updates for 'security reasons'.
In my TRNSYversion , the 'param.inc' file is already in the directory trnwin\kernal.

<David : You can check by opening the code and verifying that the line:INCLUDE '../kernal/param.inc' exists
All the files *.for (HPLOT.FOR , summary.for , map.for , type10.for ...) have INCLUDE 'param.inc' and not INCLUDE '/kernal/param.inc'.
I have copied the param.inc file into the trnwin directory. It doesn't work.
I can write INCLUDE 'kernal\param.inc'  in all the *.for files ... but it will need a "very" long time. And I don't remind having already done that before.

Can the problem come from windows XP ? As I use windows XP, I have written in autoexec.nt (répertoire c:\I386) what I was writing in autoexec.bat (when I was using windows 95 ... and when it was working) :
SET LELISP=C:\trnwin\iisibat2
SET PATH=c:\progra~1\micros~2\df98\bin;"%PATH%"
SET INCLUDE=c:\progra~1\micros~2\df98\include;"%INCLUDE%"
SET LIB=c:\progra~1\micros~2\vc98\lib;"%LIB%"

I have tried to write these lines with "poste de travail/avancé/variable environnement/variable système" too.
I have tried to replace "progra~1\micros~2" by "Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio" too.

nb : I already managed to make trnsys working ("rebuild") with windows XP. But it was not a "clean" method : I had copy the windows 95 trnwin directory (of my former computer) to my new computer (windows XP).

I hope somebody will help to find the solution of my problem ... I only want to install Trnsy on my computer (with the cd rom).

Thanks
Gilles

Gilles,
The param.inc file (in TRNSYS 14) was located in the \trnwin\kernal directory. It was moved with the release of TRNSYS 15 to the \trnsys15\include directory. If you have TRNSYS 14.2 installed in its \trnwin directory then all the TRNSYS 14 source code files should point to the correct location. You can check by opening the code and verifying that the line:

INCLUDE '../kernal/param.inc'

exists and that param.inc is indeed inside the kernal directory.

Kind regards,
  David

hello trnsys users ,
after several problems I have had to install trnsys 14.2 again. When I use rebuild (before using new TYPEs), I have the error "can not open include file param.inc" for many fortran programs (hplot ...) which are already installed in TRNSYS. Where can I indicate the location of param.inc for all these fortran programs ?
thanks for any help
Gilles
